Little Red Door provides several free programs to assist cancer patients during their battle against the disease. These services are available to residents of the central Indiana area who qualify based on residency, household size, household income and insurance coverage.
Mammography Assistance Program
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women, affecting 1 in 8 women. For screening mammograms and other cancer screenings, many of these services are now covered at no charge through most health insurances as a result of the Affordable Care Act. Little Red Door can help facilitate women and men in applying for health insurance for their screening services or direct them to local resources. To see what screening services are now covered through health insurances, please visit here.
When breast symptoms are found, it is important to see a doctor and complete any recommended follow-up services. Little Red Door provides financial assistance for low-income, uninsured or underinsured women (and men) who are experiencing breast symptoms (such as a lump or pain) to receive diagnostic services. We provide diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies as needed to reach a diagnosis. (Prior authorization is required). If a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer, a Client Navigator will work with her to provide our cancer services and support as she begins treatment.
