One of our board members said something powerful to me recently, “Not everything that counts can be counted.” How do you count the joy that a kid with cancer experiences at Camp Little Red Door? Or the feeling of well-being a cancer patient gets from having a cab driver who values them? Or the relief that happens when they find someone who can help them?

In ways big and small we continue to make the most of life and the least of cancer for those whose journey is difficult. We can only track or count those experiences through our human interactions, a hand written thank-you note, a smile on the face of someone we helped. It all counts.

As you visit our website, I ask you to remember that every one of these metrics is accompanied by an emotion and that every interaction we track and report helps someone along the way. As you read our blog, learn about our programs and read our testimonials, you will see that we made an impact, in every way. Even if we can’t count it.
