LITTLE RED DOOR ANNOUNCES NEW HOPE CAPITAL PROJECT
Indianapolis – Little Red Door Cancer Agency is excited to announce the New Hope capital project, a $ 2.1 million project that will transform and improve LRD’s building at 1801 N. Meridian into a vibrant community center for those battling cancer. Through this transformation, LRD hopes to make its building more accessible to those with physical limitations, expand client programming, and make much needed structural repairs so that it can continue to provide services to our clients in a welcoming and comfortable space.
The highlights of the project are a new entrance walkway for clients with physical limitations, a dedicated fitness and yoga studio for LRD’s oncology certified programs, and a large social room complete with demonstration kitchen for nutritional cooking classes and community gatherings.
Construction on the project is set to begin in mid-October with the ribbon cutting on the renovated building set for early summer 2018. During the construction and renovation LRD will continue to offer its services in a temporary office space just down the street at 1776 N. Meridian Street.
Agency Director and CEO Fred Duncan states, “Little Red Door always aims to provide our clients with the most welcoming and comfortable atmosphere possible when they walk through our doors, and these renovations and improvements will do just that. This new space will ensure that Little Red Door is a center of hope in the Indianapolis community for years to come.”
