Each summer, Camp Little Red Door takes Bradford Woods by storm creating a whole week of fun, laughter and words of encouragement for kids who have been diagnosed with cancer. Camp Little Red Door offers an environment free of stereotypes and full of opportunity to discuss the fears and anxieties that accompany a child’s cancer diagnosis with others who have been through similar experiences.

Camp Little Red Door is available for any child 8-18 years old with cancer or in remission living in Indiana. This summer marked Camp Little Red Door’s 35th year, making it Indiana’s oldest camp for pediatric cancer patients.  Camp Little Red Door maintains an experienced medical staff 24 hours a day to handle any medical needs of the campers.

Camp Little Red Door provides the opportunity for kids to partake in traditional summer camp activities including swimming, canoeing, fishing, archery, campfires, arts & crafts, horseback riding, a physical challenge course featuring rope ladders & bridges and even zip-lining!  All facilities are completely wheelchair-accessible. This allows all youth from Indiana with a cancer diagnosis to participate at Camp Little Red Door.  Each camper is encouraged to not look at themselves as limited due to their cancer diagnosis but as kids who can achieve anything they set their minds to.

Each August, the Camp Little Red Door Golf Outing takes place at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course.  The funds raised at the Golf Outing help to cover the costs of camp and allows Little Red Door to only charge a nominal fee of $25 per child with cancer and $50 per sibling or friend. Financial assistance is available for anyone unable to make the payment.

The Robert T. Grand Leadership Academy was started several years ago because of all that Bob Grand does to help Little Red Door and our camp. The Robert T. Grand Leadership Academy takes place the weekend prior to camp and is open to previous campers age 16-18. Leadership training offers lifelong lessons and is a great experience for campers.
