Here at Little Red Door we are anxiously counting down the days until spring time.  Blooming flowers, warmer weather and one of our favorite events- the Crawl for Cancer!

Crawl for Cancer is an organization based in Kansas City that plans and hosts fundraising events that help support those affected by cancer in 20 cities across the nation.  The idea of the event is to have fun while raising money for a good cause.  Each year, the Crawl for Cancer comes through Indianapolis and completely takes the city by storm.  This year the Crawl will take place on April 9th in Broadripple. With 100 teams and over 1,000 participants all supporting our mission of making the most of life and the least of cancer, you can see why this is one of our favorite events of the year!

Since 2010, Crawl for Cancer has raised over $41,000 for Little Red Door.  This generous donation has helped us provide our clients with transportation to and from lifesaving cancer treatments and follow up appointments, boutique services to eligible female cancer patients who have lost their hair to cancer, complimentary therapeutic massages and yoga classes to cancer patients, survivors and oncology providers, care packages for any newly diagnosed cancer patients, and nutritional supplements to those in active treatment.

If you are interested in participating in the Crawl for Cancer this year grab 9 friends, create a team and meet us in Broadripple on April 9th! You can find the registration link here. Most cities sell out before the final registration date so don’t procrastinate! Get your team members together today!

This event is one example of the variety of third-party events that we participate in throughout the year. Other events include restaurant fundraisers, golf outings, birthday parties and more. We’re so grateful to everyone who decides to host a fundraiser in honor of us.
