We are so excited to announce that we have been selected to participate in the 2016 Brackets for Good Tournament challenge! This was definitely a fan favorite event last year because hey, a little friendly competition never hurt anyone, right?

Brackets for Good is a single elimination competitive fundraising tournament for nonprofits in the Greater Indianapolis Area. The winning organization will receive a $10,000 grand prize donation from the 2016 Title Sponsor, Valeo Financial Advisors!

Nonprofits compete against each other and advance through the tournament by scoring more “points” than their opposing organization in each round.  Points are earned as our donors visit www.bracketsforgood.org and give to Little Red Door. Every dollar donated is equal to one point. The object is to earn more points than the opposing organization and move on to the next round.

This fundraiser began in 2011 with only eight non-profits and has grown into a 64-team March Madness style bracket.  This competition has quickly developed into one of the largest fundraising events in Indianapolis.  This year the competition kicks off on Friday, February 26th at 8pm!  Be sure to mark your calendars!

Over the years, Little Red Door has raised $16,056 via Brackets for Good!  In 2015 alone, Little Red Door raised $7,279 and made it to the second round of the tournament with the help of 72 generous donors.  This year our goal is to advance to the championship round and raise over $9,000 for Little Red Door.  If you’re interested in helping us win, please check out Brackets for Good when the competition begins on February 26th! Making a donation in Little Red Door’s name will get us one step closer to our goal!

Little Red Door is always looking for fun and inventive ways to fundraise money for our programs.  If you are interested in hosting an event in honor of Little Red Door, please contact Development Specialist Katie Means at (317) 920-4686 or kmeans@littlereddoor.org.
