What is your favorite thing about March? Ours is warm weather, College Basketball and of course fundraising! This year we get to participate in the Brackets for Good competition during the month of March.
Brackets for Good is a single elimination competitive fundraising tournament for nonprofits in the Greater Indianapolis Area. The winning organization will receive a $10,000 grand prize donation from the 2015 Title Sponsor, Valeo Financial Advisors!
Nonprofits compete against each other and advance through the tournament by scoring more points than the opposing organization. This fundraiser began in 2011 with only eight non-profits and has grown into a 64-team March Madness style bracket. This competition has quickly developed into one of the largest fundraising events in Indianapolis.
Points are earned as our donors visit www.bracketsforgood.org and give to Little Red Door. Every dollar donated is equal to one point. The object is to earn more points than the opposing organization and move on to the next round. This year the competition kicks off on February 27 and our first opponent is Shalom Health Care Center.
In 2014, Little Red Door raised $8,777 and made it to the “Supported Sixteen” round with the help of 75 generous donors. This year our goal is to advance to the championship round and raise over $9,000 for Little Red Door. If you are interested in helping us win please check out Brackets for Good and click the blue DONATE button in the middle of the page. Making a donation in Little Red Door’s name will get us one step closer to our goal!
Our incentive? Each time we move forward in the tournament we earn more money from Valeo Financial Advisors, our Title Sponsor!
· Round 1 50: (Little Red Door vs. Shalom Health Care Center)
· Round 2 $100
· Round 3 $200
· Round 4 $500
· Round 5 $750
Finally, if we make it all the way to the Championship Round our Title Sponsor, Valeo Financial Advisors, will donate $1,000 to Little Red Door!
Little Red Door is always looking for fun and inventive ways to fundraise money for our programs. If you are interested in hosting an event in honor of Little Red Door, please contact Development Specialist Katie Means at (317) 920-4686 or email@example.com.
