On Nov. 20, the Little Red Door Cancer Agency hosted the seventh annual Face of Hope Breakfast. Once again, I am pleased to share that the Face Of Hope Breakfast has set new records for giving!
This year we had 940 guests, compared to 830 in 2013. We could not have done this without the support of our incredible table captains. If you are interested in having your own table at next year’s breakfast, please let us know.
Our total amount given was $231,136. The biggest jump was that our average annual gift increased a whopping 29% from $172 in 2013 to $222 in 2014. This is a huge change and again we want to thank everyone who came, gave and supported us. We are on track to help 18,000 people this year and we could not do that without your help.
The biggest part of our breakfast was having our clients share their stories to a large audience. Regina Richardson, a mother of two, shared her story of being diagnosed with breast cancer. Little Red Door camper William Lattimore shared his experiences of being at camp. William has been coming to camp since 2008 and was a member of the Robert T. Grand Leadership Academy this past summer.
Attendees also saw videos from camp as well as two client stories. Fox 59 anchor Fanchon Stinger hosted the event for the second time in a row. For more information on the breakfast, go here.
