Massages are scheduled every 30 minutes between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Our Door to Wellness program helps with common side effects of cancer and its treatment through therapeutic massage and yoga, cooking classes, and other offerings. Studies have shown positive effects from therapeutic massage and yoga, including stress reduction, decreased fatigue, pain management, anxiety

Chair relaxation yoga - Therapeutic modified yoga, mainly in, or using the support of, a chair.  Some basic yoga poses are modified for the student to practice in the chair, as well as joint-freeing movements, gentle flow, and movements that help relieve some side effects from treatment for cancer.  Class includes Pranayama, relaxation, and meditation.

Special Offerings Door to Wellness also offers educational programs where participants can learn ways to help prevent cancer or its recurrence. Garden Club -Participants learn about cancer-fighting foods grown in the agency’s Community Garden and help with planting and garden maintenance. Offered the first Tuesdayof every month. Cooking Classes – Participants help prepare healthy meals

Basic gentle hatha yoga- Gentle, beginner yoga poses, with no flow in between poses.  A slower-paced class that focuses on the foundational yoga poses on the mat, including the basic sun salutation.  Class includes Pranayama (breathing practices), relaxation, and meditation.  Students should be able to practice on the mat or standing, without the main support
