Little Red Door knows that education is key in the fight to prevent and control cancer. Accordingly, the agency offers free public education programs intended to teach individuals how to assess their cancer risk, learn early detection techniques and maintain healthy lifestyle habits.
Presentations on specific topics, such as breast cancer, as well as general cancer issues, are also provided to the community. Education initiatives are conducted throughout the community in traditional and nontraditional settings, including health centers, community centers, women’s shelters, homeless shelters, food pantries and churches.
